How do I sign up and where do we meet to start the tour?

or call at least one day in advance (if possible) to confirm availability. Once availability is confirmed, email your passport name and number to secure your medical insurance policy. Please understand that even if you already have travel insurance, YOUR PASSPORT INFO IS MANDATORY TO CONFIRM.
The tour begins at the building called Laureles Real at Cra. 78 #42-02. Your guide will meet you at the front door at 10 AM unless you have set a different time. You can arrive using public transportation, but it’s much easier to take a cab. Click here for Map
How long is the Tour last and how physically demanding is it?
Medellín Bike Tour tour is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) and takes about 4 hours with many stops and a mid-point lunch break in the Botanical Gardens (optional). Although most of the route is flat, there are two challenging climbs that are rewarded with fantastic views. However, your guide will adjust the tour if he senses that it would best to only do one climb. Regardless, you will not be rushed or pressured; it’s your tour experience, so we’ll progress at your pace and comfort level!
What does the tour cost and may I pay with a credit card?
The cost per person is $50 USD or equivalent in Colombian pesos based on daily exchange at this link: Dollar to Peso converter. For three or more riders who sign up as a single group, the price drops to $40 USD per person. You may pay with with cash or Pay via PayPal to purchase the tour with a credit card.
What is required?
Please bring a copy of you passport (a photo copy on your phone is fine). This is critical because your medical insurance coverage will depend on your ID verification.
Does my guide speak English?
Yes, Dan is fluent Spanish and English. If another guide is designated for your tour, Dan will make sure that the guide is fluent in English and/or Spanish.
How many people on each tour?
For safety reasons and quality of tour experience, the size of the group is typically limited to 6 riders, but larger groups are possible upon special request and planning (additional bike rentals, guides, etc.). Please inquire in advance for custom tours.
What if I would like a more personalized tour?
Yes, we can arrange a tour in the outskirts of Medellín, but it will involve additional transportation, planning and costs.
What if I have an accident?
If you have an accident, your guide will patch you up. If it is more serious, you will be transported to the hospital or clinic. All medical and transport costs are covered. Prior to the ride, you will need to submit your passport info for insurance purposes as mentioned on the home page.
What do I need to bring?
In addition to bringing the passport and insurance form above, plan to work up a sweat, which means you might be more comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. Feel free to bring a compact camera, but make sure it can fit in your pocket or carrying case that is strapped to your waist or in a backpack so you can ride freely. Also, it's a good idea to wear closed-toe footwear such as tennis shoes.
What kind of equipment/bike will I be using?
Most bikes are 29ers; cross-country hardtails. This means each bike has front suspension but not rear suspension and the size of the wheels are 29 inches, but we also offer a couple or smaller bikes for shorter riders. Although we are riding through the city, Medellín is an urban jungle and the safest way to go is on all-terrain equipment. Helmets, gloves, water and rain jackets are provided.
What is the food situation?
There will plenty several opportunities to stop for a snack, but it’s best to eat a good breakfast and wait until the end of the tour to eat a big meal.
